Lead Thru Political Uncertainty: Navigate Today’s Divisive Climate

In today’s polarized world, business leaders can’t afford to ignore politics. From policy shifts to social movements, external forces shape company culture, employee engagement, and even bottom-line results. In this video, I discuss:
1. Whether you’re a CEO, entrepreneur, or executive, mastering political agility is key to fostering a resilient, high-performing organization.
2. Companies engage in politics ALL the time, by supporting and advocating for politicians who best represent their interests.
3. Companies, business associations like the US Chamber of commerce), and Unions advocate for issues they care most about through lobbying efforts and Corporate political contributions.
4. Companies contributing financially to PACs as well as non-profit 501(c)(4), (5), and (6) organizations that are permitted to use funds for political activities.
5. We must shift our focus from maximizing shareholder value to having a positive impact on stakeholder value by pursuing triple bottom line focus on people, plant, profit.
6. We are a globally interconnected economy and need to monitor political issues locally and internationally.
7. Your own business needs and interests are being impacted by nearly every decision this administration makes on domestic and foreign matters such as DE&I program rollbacks, defunding Ukraine support, IRS employment, USAID, etc.
8. You cannot continue to turn a blind eye on what is happening. Our Democracy is literally dying right in front of us.
